Hey, it’s been a while.
Also, yeah, putting “final” in the subject line wasn’t a typo. Just wanted to see if it had any good or bad effects on the open rate. We’ll see!
Anyways, we’re going to start sharing 3 things every month about what we’re thinking about, what’s on our minds, what’s taking real estate in our time, etc. Feedback is very much appreciated, let us know what you think!
So. . . here’s the 3 things we’re thinking about this month:
#1 - Hustle is Exhausting
The things that drive this world run at an insurmountable, endlessly fast pace. It takes us with us. A lot of us are hustling right to our own grave. The weird thing is that we act like we like it. We glorify it. We brag about it.
We’re learning that this is almost a curse - the very source of our burnout, exhaustion, and anxiety. WOah.
How can we set boundaries around this? How can we opt out of this type of culture and living?
#2 - We Need to Learn to Say No
It’s simple that you can never be productive if you take on too many commitments—you simply spread yourself too thin. We need to learn to say no.
Your time is valuabe. Your priorities are valuable.
Without a strategy of saying no, you default to yes —> your life vaporizes with other people’s priorities being realized rather than yours.
#3 - Don’t Overweigh Risk
If you’re young and just coming out of college, what do you risk? Certain situations are understandable, but the majority don’t have much to lose.
Look at the outcome and ask yourself what’s the worst thing that can happen? A lot of the time the answer is you learn a lot.
People should be less risk-averse when there really is not much at risk in the big scheme of things.
We put together a new post on what entrepreneurship means through the lens of redemptive cultural impact.
Our thesis:
Entrepreneurship is an open, blank canvas for you to step into, for you to discover who you are -- for you to explore your calling to create.
Thanks for reading. Let us know how we did. We appreciate you!
